Terri Laine, Cruel Season Series – Detail

As part of the Water Works II exhibition local photographer, Terri Laine, and Casitas Conservation Specialist, Cinnamon McIntosh, will co-present an overview of Ventura County’s current water conditions and how they are specifically impacting Lake Casitas. The event will take place on Sunday May 31 at 4 PM at the Ojai Art Center in downtown Ojai.

Laine will address her extensive documentation of the drought’s effects at Lake Casitas, and Cinnamon will discuss the history of Lake Casitas and what the current situation means for all of us, followed by a Q&A. This will be an important opportunity for the community to engage with a specialist who is dealing with the drought, and the myriad issues related to it, on a daily basis.

According to Lisa Casoni of the Porch Gallery Ojai “This is a great way for Terri to present her work. Her series of photographs tell an important and evocative story about the current state of our environment. The opportunity to hear about her experience with the rapidly changing lake is going to be very informative. Add the bonus of Cinnamon’s expertise, and this will be a must see event.”

The Ojai Art Center is located at 113 S. Montgomery Street, Ojai, CA.
