Home on the Range is the first collaboration between photographer Bobbi Bennett and painter Joan Scheibel. Bennett’s photography paired with Scheibel’s works on canvas focus on the culture, landscape and flora and fauna of the American southwest.
To create the mixed media pieces, both artists mutually decide on the subject matter. After each has individually executed their own interpretation on the concept, the artists then work together to fine-tune and harmonize the final product. The result is a body of work that highlights talents of the individual yet is elevated by the shared style and vision of the union.
Bennett has exhibited nationally for 20 years and is currently living in Santa Fe, NM. Her work is also in the Santa Barbara Museum of Arts permanent collection.
Scheibel, has been an artist and graphic designer for the past 17 years in Los Angeles. She recently was a winner in the prestigious “Art slant” showcase.
